This is the closing post of our road trip through the Canadian Rockies. We drove 3,500 km through the Rockies, stopping at various points to take in the views and capture the beauty of the landscape. The photos in this collection are a mix of shots taken from the car and from the side of the road, showcasing the stunning scenery we encountered along the way.
We stopped at the Glacier National Park for hikes, and realized we could camp there. This park was really cool because you can’t reserve a camping spot, you have to show up the same day you want to camp and drive up to the spot you want, if it’s available. It’s a cool experience to find the perfect spot to camp, and we found a great one next to the river.
People have been in what’s now known as Jasper for over 10,000 years, this area showcases the beauty of mother nature. It’s also rich in Indigenous history: we met some Indigenous people who shared traditions with us, they showed Mountain Sage and their usage as medicine, it was a very special moment.
We visited the Columbia Icefield, which is the largest icefield in the rocky mountains. The Athabasca Glacier is one of the most accessible glaciers in the area, and we hiked up to it. The glacier is receding at a rate of about 5 meters per year, which is quite alarming. You can see the difference in the photos from previous years. The water that’s flowing in the river fell as snowflakes 400 years ago!
One of the key parts of this road trip was camping in the Rockies. We did a mix of camping and staying in hotels/motels/hostels, which allowed us to experience the outdoors while also having some comfort. Camping in the Rockies is a unique experience, with stunning views and a chance to connect with nature.
In Summer ‘25 we went on a road trip with my friends Andre and Denny. This is the first post of the series, where we visited Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies.
My first time visiting Calgary was a quick two-day stop-over, my friend Phil showed me around Banff, Longview, and the surrounding areas. We did an amazing hike and took the cable car to see the views. I got to see more of the incredible terraforming from the plane.
I recently had the opportunity of visiting the Ripley’s Aquarium in Toronto. This was my second time visiting, but the first time with a good camera with me. The Jellyfish are by far my favourite part of the entire exhibition, which sets the bar pretty high already. The way they’re setup show incredible colours, and their dancing in the water is just mesmerizing. It’s incredible to just stand there and watch them move.
I needed a day off, we had a big snow, so I went out with my camera to walk around the Ottawa River.
In 2021 I rode my bike from Ottawa to Montréal. I went out to explore the city and took my camera with me, these are some of the snapshots I took.
